What if cyclists had the power to shape the roads they use every day?
As a team of six students in Computational Social Science, we were brought together by this very question.
We noticed a gap - while car-related infrastructure issues are commonly addressed through feedback systems,
for example on Google Maps or signed diversions during construction, cyclists are not given
the same amount of attention.
We realised that cyclists need to be heard - their experiences need to inform decisions about urban infrastructure.
This sparked our intervention - a platform where cyclists can report issues in real-time and be heard
by infrastructure companies, such as our partner BAM Infra.
Our mission is to empower cyclists in Amsterdam by improving the cycling experience through collective action and technology.
By identifying and addressing infrastructural barriers we aim to create a more sustainable and safe journey for everyone.
Through community feedback and data driven tools we bridge the gap between cyclists and city infrastructure.
