One-Click Reporting from Your Lock Screen

Step 1: Install the App

  1. Open Safari (must use Safari, not Chrome)
  2. Tap the Share button at bottom
  3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
  4. Tap "Add" to confirm

Step 2: Create a Quick Report Shortcut

  1. Open the Shortcuts app (pre-installed on iOS)
  2. Tap the "+" button to create new shortcut
  3. Search for and add "Open URLs"
  4. Copy the following URL: https://www.samenophetfietspad.nl/widget.html?action=quick_report&source=shortcut by clicking the button
  5. Paste the URL into the "Open URLs" shortcut
  6. Tap the shortcut name at top and rename to "Quick Report"
  7. Tap "Done"

Step 3: Add to Lock Screen (iOS 16+)

  1. Lock your phone then wake the screen
  2. Long press the lock screen (not the screen itself, but below the time)
  3. Tap "Customize"
  4. Tap one of the "+" buttons below the time
  5. Search for and select "Shortcuts"
  6. Choose your "Quick Report" shortcut
  7. Tap "Done" twice

Alternative iOS Methods

Control Center Method

  1. Go to Settings > Control Center
  2. Tap the "+" next to "Shortcuts"
  3. Now swipe down from top-right corner anytime
  4. Tap the Shortcuts button and select "Quick Report"

Voice Command

  1. In Shortcuts app, tap your "Quick Report" shortcut
  2. Tap "Add to Siri"
  3. Record phrase: "Report issue"
  4. Now say: "Hey Siri, Report issue" anytime

Back Tap (iPhone 8 and newer)

  1. Settings > Accessibility > Touch
  2. Scroll to "Back Tap"
  3. Tap "Double Tap" or "Triple Tap"
  4. Select "Shortcuts"
  5. Choose "Quick Report"
  6. Now double/triple tap the back of your phone to report

Step 1: Install the App

  1. Open Chrome, Edge, or Samsung Internet
  2. Go to your report widget URL
  3. Look for "Install" banner at bottom and tap it, OR
  4. Tap menu (⋮) > "Add to Home screen" or "Install app"
  5. Tap "Install" to confirm

Step 2: Built-in Shortcuts (Automatic)

Your app automatically includes shortcuts on Android:

  1. Long press the app icon on your home screen
  2. Tap "Quick Report" from the popup menu
  3. One-tap reporting! (No additional setup needed)

Step 3: Lock Screen Widget (Android 12+)

Note: This depends on your phone manufacturer and Android version.

For Google Pixel phones:

  1. Long press empty space on home screen
  2. Tap "Widgets"
  3. Find your "Quick Report Widget" app
  4. Long press and drag to home screen
  5. Some launchers allow widgets on lock screen in settings

For Samsung phones:

  1. Long press home screen → "Widgets"
  2. Find "Quick Report Widget"
  3. Add to home screen
  4. Go to Settings > Lock screen > Widgets
  5. Enable widgets and add your report widget

For other Android phones:

  • Widget availability varies by manufacturer
  • Check Settings > Lock screen for widget options
  • Some phones require third-party launchers for lock screen widgets

Alternative Android Methods

Quick Settings Panel

  1. Swipe down from top of screen twice
  2. Tap pencil/edit icon
  3. Look for your PWA in available tiles
  4. Drag it to active tiles area
  5. Now swipe down anytime and tap to report

Google Assistant

  1. Just say "Hey Google, open Quick Report"
  2. Works automatically once app is installed
  3. Can also say "Hey Google, open [your app name]"

Tasker (Advanced Users)

  1. Install Tasker from Play Store
  2. Create task: "Open URL" with your shortcut URL
  3. Create profile: "Quick Settings Tile"
  4. Assign the task to the tile
  5. Access from Quick Settings panel

Troubleshooting

  • If shortcuts don't appear in lock screen customization, restart your iPhone
  • Make sure you're running iOS 16 or later for lock screen widgets
  • Some shortcuts may need to be run once manually before appearing in options

Privacy & Permissions

  • The app only accesses your location when you tap the report button
  • Location data is sent anonymously and not stored
  • You can revoke location permission anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services
Your location is only used for the report and is not stored or tracked by the app.
